Introduction to Greek Recipes  
  With Greece being in the Mediterranean their cooking techniques tend to be very traditional. Greek cuisine is fairly similar to Turkish food some of the main products used in Greek cooking are: Aubergines, Tomatoes, Onions, Green beans, Honey, and Feta cheese.

Greeks have specific dishes for certain occasions such as Koulourakia, which means "Kings cake" and is eaten traditionally around New Years. There are many dishes that are based on religious ways of cooking called Ottoman cuisine; these dishes are used for events such as Ramadan. There are certain dishes such as Sohoor or Sehri that have found their places in Greek foods. One of the most popular foods items of Greek is kebabs. There are many variations on kebabs now, the most popular for Greece is the Shish kebab, one widely used around the world is a beef Shish kebab.
